This reminds me of (1) Avram Burg’s story in “The Holocaust is Over: We must Rise from its Ashes” of the Iraqi Jew who went on a business trip and had “flashbacks” of the Holocaust; and (2) why so many Polish Jews wanted to come to Israel instead of the US after the war.
