Irael is not the one who has been vociferous about wiping Iran off the face of the earth. Iran has been the provocateur. You cannot compare the former Soviet Union with Iran. With all of its faults, the USSR was run responsibly regarding the “balance of terror.” During the Cuban missile crisis Khrushchev backed off when the world was on the brink of a nuclear holocaust. The same cannot be said about the mullahs. They´re the ones who continue to spout jihad, and the reward of 72 virgins for martyrs who die for the cause of Islam.
