Although I consider myself one of those with dovish views, I agree that the use of the term “peace” to characterize left-wing pro-Israel groups is highly offensive.

It is an act of supreme sanctimony and arrogance that is consistent with the behavior on the part of the many of the same people to demonize and demean George W. Bush that began even before he first took office.

I did not support the guy nor much of what he did. But the hatred, ridicule and contempt expressed for him was wholly disproportionate, unneccessary and wrong.

The arrogation of the term “pro-peace” by these people, as if to imply that anyone who disagrees with them is “anti-peace,” is just another example of the smug self-righteousness of these jerks and detracts from the message those of us who believe that Israel must somehow come to some kind of mutually acceptable accord with the self-described Palestinians would like to send.

you want peace in the Middle East (Israel/Palestine)? get rid of politicians and military people. Leave the people working the fields, doing their craft and their commerce. Both cultures will do what is necessary to give their families what they need. When the Arabs where in Spain, they protected the Jews from the Christians. They work and thrive together.
