Yes, by rights Jews should be able to settle anywhere within Western Palestine, but it is pointless trying to enforce these rights, in the same way that “A Jewish State with a Jewish majority on both sides of the Jordan” is no longer a realistic rallying cry. Let’s just be glad we finally have “a safe space for our people, after so many years of suffering” (Rabbi Brian Walt, Rabbis for Human Rights), and let’s try to do it without causing suffering to another people. If Medinat Falestin ever becomes a reality, it must not be allowed to ethnically cleanse Jews who are willing to be its loyal citizens. Jewish peaceniks must not be allowed to do the ethnic cleansing of Jews from disputed territories on behalf of the Arabs. If Arabs can live anywhere in Israel, Jews should be allowed to live anywhere in Judea, Samaria or even Gaza.
