The mosque wars: Hamas, Bloomberg, fake Foxman, Sarna

The fight over the mosque two blocks from Ground Zero is not going away, especially now that President Obama was weighed in:

This is not an Islamophobic issue of being against mosques; there are 100+ mosques in New York.  This does not equate with “when shuls were banned in America,” a deceptive and misguided statement.
This is about respect for the American people who prefer that the mosque NOT be built on Ground Zero, where Islamic jihad killed 3000 Americans; this is about compassion that Islam does not express; this is about building their mosque/cultural center elsewhere, where it is not an insult to the American people and where it does not ‘appear’ to be a triumphal edifice, for which Islam is known.  Islam, a replacement theocracy, destroys, kills, and constructs a mosque.  The al Aqsa mosque was Solomon’s Temple; the Hagia Sophia mosque was a church basillica; the original Cordoba mosque had been a Visigoth Church, and became Islam’s symbol of superiority over Christians and Jews (711-1492). The new Cordoba mosque is expected to be the caliphate of the west.  Why else would a “new” entity in a host country fight so strongly for what they want, with no respect whatsoever for the current inhabitants.
Furthermore, be reminded that the Imam has known ties to IHH, al Qaeda, Hamas, and Hezbollah; he was involved in fundraising for many jihads, including the Flotilla ambush. He has never retracted his intent to kill apostates, and continue Shari’a law in this country...the most inhumane, violent laws in our world, and already used against their own people (women being the worst sufferers).
The mega-mosque must not be permitted on this hallowed ground; let’s rebuild the World Trade Center and the building that belong there.  We cannot allow Islam to build its caliphate here.  Our tolerance of their egregious intolerance of us will be our cultural suicide.  When do we learn “NEVER AGAIN” should be NOW.

I can understand being tolerant of others, but I think many people (especially Mayor Bloomberg) are taking it too far.  This is political correctness run amok, and since there are mosques elsewhere in the area, it is obvious why the proponents are insistent on locating it there.

As for whether two blocks is or is not sacred ground, it really doesn’t matter--the intent is clearly to make a statement in the vicinity of Ground Zero.  And we cannot allow that statement to be made.
