JTA: The Global News Service of the Jewish People

Cheer up Adolf, there’s always the March of the Living (CORRECTED)

UPDATE/CORRECTION: Due to a miscommunication... I was under the misimpression that Birthright had produced this video, and my initial post reflected that belief. In reality this appears to simply be an Independently produced spoof with a long tradition -- not an official marketing ploy.

One of the funniest spoofs of that clip was made when British (Jewish) writer Giles Coren sent a scathing letter to the sub-editors at the Times, after they removed the letter ‘a’ from his copy. The letter, which has a certain Jewish interest and which, I think, he was drunk when he wrote, was leaked to the Guardian - you can read it here: http://www.guardian.co.uk/media/2008/jul/23/mediamonkey

The parody is here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DNTaH_QxNVQ
