A terrorist goes free
Lots of talk of late of where the Guantanamo detainees and where they're going - and how a couple of former detainees may have ended up back with al-Qaida.
The AP has an in-depth investigation of the release freedom of a terrorist from another age and time: Khalid Duhham al-Jawary was convicted for his failed attempt in 1973 to bomb Israeli targets in New York, during a visit by then-Prime Minister Golda Meir.
Al Jawary's served his time - with time off for good behavior - but the ex-fed who captured him in 1991 thinks he's still dangerous; AP uncovers evidence linking al-Jawary to other crimes, including possible involvement in the 1974 bombing of a TWA flight that killed 88 people.
It's an exciting read.
