Obama’s foreign policy adviser, Tony Lake, was at NYU today, talking to students at the Bronfman Center about why he thinks the Democratic presidential hopeful is so great. But before he got into details, Lake, who served as national security adviser in the Clinton administration, described his own history of first being mistaken for, and then actually becoming, a Jew.

Since when is it the function of the JTA to subtly send the message that we don’t have to worry about all those anti-semites surrounding Obama, including his Church’s Minister… — no,no, don’t worry, after all he also has a self-professed Jew among his advisors. Well, I for one am not comforted - and not pleased about the JTA, Anthony Lake or Obama.
You’re absolutely correct Barbara. Obama is bad for the Jews and Israel. Dont believe the hype!
Ms B.Beran,
To your respondent modest opinion, if one could imagine a not-so-white American already-achiever-having-changed-academic-routine-to-politics being anti-Semitic, one hardly realises that none of the most influential world leaders might afford anti-Semitism as their political trend in-the-office of which the White House is surely the most prominent: none of the US presidents can afford “a luxury” of anti-Israel, anti-Jewish actions, in a post 9/11 world especially, both historically and logically
It is nice to realise I am not the only one admirer of steadily strong America:

Would someone mind waking up the New York Jews that came out in droves to vote for Barack Hussein Obama in thier primary!!!!!
No doubt the mindless dolt, California, liberal Jews will do the same. Oy…such misplaced white guilt, it sickens me.
A vote for Obama is a vote against Israel and Judaism…don’t be foolish enough to believe otherwise. Not to mention what he’ll do to exacerbate divisiveness within our own country. WAKE UP AMERICA before it’s gone!
Just maybe worse than “misplaced white guilt” is sinat chinam, and ironically attributing one of the major vices of George W. Bush’s policies –”exacerbating divisiveness within our own country”– to Barak Obama, or Hillary Clinton.
It’s called “the big lie.” Vicious bigotry is even uglier when it festers among Jews who have suffered from it over the centuries, and “Chai’s” inclusion of Barack Obama’s middle name is a barely concealed codeword displaying some of that bigotry.
Anyone whose political choices in a United States election is based first on what “is good for Israel,” should live and vote in Israel, just as any Israeli voting in Israel for what he or she believes is best for the United States (as unlikely as that may be) should live and vote in the U.S.
You are all bigots. Based on no evidence you would find the most innocent guilty. You wouldn’t know truth unless it was written in the Talmud. You are Israel’s enemies not protectors. Israel is the world’s second most hated. You are on to making it the first.
