Now, despite the evidence I have offered from the Hebrew scriptures throughout this thread, you persist in blaspheming His Name.  That is pure foolishness on your part.  And no, YHVH, is not “singular,” but is in fact triune.  I’ll demonstrate by offering just a few of several available examples:

For example, see Isaiah 48.  In the first fifteen verses of Isaiah 48, you will see that the individual speaking, both through Isaiah as well as directly at times, is a) YHVH, b) our Moshiach (Savior), c) our Goel (Kinsman Redeemer), etc.  Yet, when we reach verse sixteen, the SAME individual, who is YHVH, suddenly states, “And now the Lord God has sent Me and His Spirit.” Well, there you have it.  YHVH sends YHVH and His Ruach!  Indeed, He IS triune.  In the case of Isaiah 48, it is the pre-incarnate (before taking on a human body at the virgin birth) Yeshua Himself who is speaking through Isaiah and directly via The Holy spirit in the first fifteen verses, and He identifies Himself as our God (YHVH), Savior (Moshiach) and Kinsman Redeemer (Geol).  After that, in verse sixteen, He states that The Lord God (Adonai El) has sent Him and His Spirit (Ruach).  Well, that is EXACTLY what we read throughout the New Testament.  So, Yehosua, you are a blasphemous fool.  You should prefer to be wise rather than a fool!

And, God is a Plurality.  Why do you suppose, Yehoshua, that He is called Elohim (a plural word) throughout the Hebrew scriptures?  He is El (one Personality in the triune Godhead) and Elohim (the unified, triune Godhead).

And, God stated, “Let Us make man in Our image” very early in Genesis (the first book of the Torah).  God is Father, Word, and Holy Spirit, and we, as human beings, are body, soul (mind/word) and spirit.  WE ARE TRIUNE BEINGS, Yehoshua.  Indeed, we are made in God’s image.

And, Echad is a unified one, wheras yachid is an indivisible one.  God, in the Shema (Deuteronomy 6:4), is referred to as “Echad” and NOT as yachid: “Hear O Israel, The Lord our God, The Lord is One [Echad]” (Adonai Echad).  God is a unified One, just as our Messiah Yeshua stated: “I and My Father are One” (the Greek word in the New Testament where Yeshau stated this is likewise for a unified one and not an indivisible one).  So, once again, the New Testament scriptures perfectly agree with the Hebrew scriptures.

Thus, Yehoshua, when you are prostrate before God to answer for all your words against Him, it is Yeshua before whom you will find yourslef; for His enemies will made His footstool.

Do you really want our Messiah, Savior and God (YHVH) named Yeshua to crush your head as He shall do to all His enemies on that day when God The Father (YHVH) makes His enemies Yeshua’s footstool?  Rather, “Yehoshua,” you should choose wisdom over foolishness and bow your knee and head to Him now that you may live rather than be cast down to Hell!  Now, doesn’t that sound much better to you?  It absolutely SHOULD!

Thanks for your intelligent response. I do apologize for the blanket statement about christianity in general. One tends to do that when having been in baptist, pentecostal and the calvary churches. So I do apologize for offending you as you seem to have a different opinion on the core issues. I do disagree about the issues you deem minor. I will explain myself further. If a pastor is in the pulpit and is teaching that (Jesus) Yahushua died on good friday and rose easter sunday, when the scriptures say as Jonah was in the belly of the fish 3 days and 3 nights so will the son of man be in the heart of the earth. (I’m paraphrasing but most people should understand the scripture I am referring to.) If a pastor can’t count or understand the basics such as that, then how can or should they be trusted on the more weightier matters. Also for a pastor to stand and say we need to be in the Lord’s house on the lord’s day is a problem for me. I agree that we should be in fellowship and there is nothing wrong with going to a church on Sunday, it isn’t the Lord’s day. That is a big problem if someone isn’t well studied in the scripture they can be led astray. As I said before, we are commanded by Yahweh in the old testament what and how to observe him. When people take pagan holidays and traditions and twist them to observe Yahweh, I know he has a problem with it. That’s not how he wishes to be served. It is written so. The early christian church was faithful to it’s Hebrew roots and there are remnants as well as an awakening today of those who desire to do so. As far as the discrepancy issue in Matthew, I am aware and understand. The point I was trying to make, was (without trying to broadly paint all in the same picture) that a huge majority of christians today aren’t even aware of it. Read about the genealogy of Yahushua and see if you can tell me what the discrepancy is.” I don’t see this as a discrepancy in Matthew 1; in fact, I address the lineage issues in my series, “Messiah, History, and the Tribulation Period,” and others besides me have likewise addressed the supposed discrepancy to which you refer.  I suggest that you research this further, and if you still don’t find an answer that satisifies you, then come back here and post your question directly and I’ll address it directly.

As for the timing of the rapture, it will be posttribulational, and I have the most thorough and detailed teaching on this ever put forth by anyone in the Church.  I have a DVD set entitled “The Real Rapture,” which is the most powerful presentation on the timing of the rapture ever given to the Church as well; it is based upon a volume in my upcoming “Messiah, History, and the Tribulation Period” series.  Entire churches, Carl, have been turned from a pretirublational view to a posttribulational view from my “The Real Rapture” presentation alone.  So, Carl, I don’t see that you and I disagree on this point.

As for the paganism of Christianity, Easter, etc., well you are correct on those points as well.  But these are not things that are fundamental to the Christian faith, Carl.  When Yeshua returns, He will correct these errors for the new Millennial Church, but at this point in history, it is a matter of majoring on things that while important are relatively minor.

I want to clarify and correct some of your points.  First, Christianity is BIBLICAL, and the Greek New Testament is The God of Israel’s written Word just as much as the Hebrew Old Testament is.  Second, it is simply incorrect to broad-brush all Christians as individuals who do not observe God’s Holy Days, the biblical Sabbath (sundown Friday to sundown Satruday on our Western calendar), etc.  In fact, there are Christians who observe God’s Holy Days, the biblical sabbath, etc., though they are in the minority today.  Also, to assert that Christianity is pagan is equally false.  There is a real difference between New Testament Christianity and what is commonly called Christianity today in terms of practice (holy days, sabbaths, clean versus unclean foods, etc.), but not in terms of the fundamentals of the Christian faith (biblical Judaism).

And, unlike you Carl, I write this as one who IS an Israelite.  I have an etire DVD series on biblical interpretation in which I cover these issues in detail, as well as a volume on biblical interpretation (Hermeneutics) in my upcoming “Messiah, History, and the Tribulation Period” series.

Also, there is much revelation and other teaching in the New Testament, Carl, that greatly clarifies and enhances what is revealed in the Old Testament.  The New Testament is, again, inspired scripture, and as such is profitable for reproof, doctrine, teaching, etc.

Don’t bad-mouth your Christian brethren, Carl, in a way that makes you sound biblically ignorant.  The Church does have a long way to go today, on the whole, in terms of returning to its Jewish roots, but those roots are found throughout the New Testament.

Who deceived you into thinking that only Paul spoke of a rapture, or that only Paul came up with the idea that Jesus (Yeshua) is our Messiah?  Or that this is only from the New Testament?

Well, Yael, you are ignorant, as I have said before, of your own Hebrew scriptures.  In fact, Yael, our Messiah is identified BY NAME as Yeshua AND BY TITLE as Messiah in multiple places in the Hebrew Old Testament scriptures.  Yes, Yael, that is the truth, and I bet you had no idea, right?  Well, here is one example: Habakkuk 3:13; in this verse, which is given in the context of Armageddon and Yeshua’s return as well as in the context of Genesis 3:15 (the Protoevangelium as Christians call it), you will find “Yeshu[a] The Messiah” mentioned and with the import of Him crushing the heads of the house of wickedness.  Oh, and there are, by the way, half a dozen such passages in the Hebrew scriptures that identify our Messiah as “Messiah” by name as “Yeshua” and in the specific context of Genesis 3:15, in which He as our Messiah will crush the head(s) of God’s enemies, to include Satan.  And, Yael, besides those half a dozen passages, there many, many more that identify our Messiah by title as “Messiah” and by NAME as “Yeshua” outside the context of Genesis 3:15.  For example, see Isaiah 12, “With joy you shall draw water from the wells of Yeshua.” So, Yael, the Hebrew scriptures themselves identify our Messiah as “Yeshua.” Indeed, Yael, Yeshua is translated in many English Old Testaments as “salvation,” yet it is better translated in context as simply “Yeshua” because those passages are referring to our Messiah, Jesus!  Consider 1 Chronicles 16:23, Yael, in which Israel’s priests were commanded to “preach the Gospel [Good News] of Yeshua,” typically translated in English as “preach the good news of salvation!” The entire verse is, “Sing to the LORD, all the earth; Proclaim the good news [Good News or Gospel] of His salvation [Yeshua] from day to day.” Yes, Israel’s OLD TESTAMENT priests were COMMANDED by YaHVeH to “preach the Gospel of Yeshua!” I bet you did not know that either Yael.  You know why?  It is because you have been deceived by unbelieving Israelites who are likewise decieved by a lying “Jewish” religious leadership known as the rabbinic community.  So, Yael, don’t you think it is high time for you to read your own Hebrew scriptures?  Wouldn’t you now like to know the rest of which you are so ignorant?  Wouldn’t you like to know the REAL God of Israel, Yael?  You absolutely SHOULD want to know Him, and His Name is YESHUA!

As for the war in Iraq being God’s will, that is a matter of opinion.  There are many evil things that occur in this world because God PERMITS them to occur, not because they are His expressed will.  And, in the end, there will be justice from God concerning all those evils.  But He is a patient God with us fallible human beings, adn those of us who come to know Him should be patient with Him, knowing fully that He is a just and righteous God, and if He delays His judgement, it is for OUR good.

It is true that most Christian denominations have their blind spots and weaknesses where biblical Christianity is concerned.  However, you go much too far in your language concerning the Assemblies of God.  The AG do not preach “hate;” they do preach that one must believe in Christ Jesus (Messiah Yeshua) and His work on our behalf to be saved and go to Heaven.  Indeed, Jesus (Yeshua) Himself made that very proclamation: “I Am The Way, The Truth, and The Life, and no man comes to The Father but through Me” (John 3:14).  So, this is a narrow faith because truth is narrow.  Tolerance for the sake of tolerance, Deb, is EVIL, UNGODLY, and UNACCEPTABLE.  Tolerance for the sake of the truth is good.  In reading your post, you sound quite intolerant of your Christian brothers and sisters who attend the AG to me.  That is blindness and arrogance on your part.  As for Roman Catholicism, it does in fact engage in idolatry (Marian devotions or “worship,” prayers to deceased saints, statues of Mary and Jesus and deceased saints, etc.).  Now, having said that, there are also attendees of Roman Catholic churches who do NOT subscribe to Marian devotions, prayers to deceased saints, and other nonsense that is not biblical, and who are in fact born-again (born of The Holy Spirit), saved Christians.  You should be more careful in your statements.

When did pastor WRIGHT say anything hateful? Again, I stress “SAY”. Let’s dig into BLACKWATER, the religious right death-machine that actual performs hateful duties by executing babies and women in Iraq in the name of God. They will surely double or triple in strength with an evangelical baby like Palin as second in command.

They believe that Jews and people from all other religions other than some protestant faiths will go to hell.  This includes Catholics.  (They believe that Catholics worship idols, which is a sin.) They will cover up this fact during this election, but what I’m telling you is the truth.

My family left that religion because they do indeed preach hatred, as seen in their harsh judgment of others.  I now teach music at a catholic school and attend a non-denominational church, but it is NOT pentecostal.  My brother converted to Catholicism and my parents attend his parish.

It frightens me and my family that this woman (or anyone from AG) has been nominated and could potentially be in the most powerful position in the world. 

Please, please...don’t let one single issue be your deciding factor.  I don’t believe in abortion either, but this election is truly about much, much more than that.

I suggest that each one of you attend a Sunday morning church service at an Assembly of God church.  Don’t tell anyone who you are or why you’re visiting.  Just quietly sit in the back and watch.  You will understand why I wrote this.

You assert that “conversion” to Christianity means that the convertee is no longer whatever he or she was ethnically before conversion; in this case, you assert that an Israelite who comes to faith in Yeshua as The God, Messiah, and Savior of Israel, is no longer a genetic (ethnic) Israelite.  Whatever gave you such a silly notion--other than a rabinnical community that has intentionally misinformed you?  Is an Ethiopian who becomes a Christian no longer an Ethiopian?  Is a Persian who becomes a Christian no longer a Persian?  Well, you should get the point....  An Israelite who believes in Yeshua (Jesus) remains genetically and thus ethnically an Israelite.

And, Steve, if you are trying to argue from a religious and spiritual standpoint, you are equally misinformed and deceived.  In that case, the only JEWISH thing to do is accept and believe in Yeshua as your God (He is YaHWeH), Savior (Moshiach), and Messiah (Mashiach).  Why would I say such a thing, Steve?  It’s simple, really: Christianity is BIBLICAL (SCRIPTURAL) Judaism, meaning that ANY Israelite ("Jew") who knows (has read and studied) and believes the Hebrew scriptures of the JEWISH Bible (i.e., the Hebrew Old Testament), likewise has no rational or logical choice other than to receive and believe in Yeshua, as I and countless other Israelite Christians DO.

Steve, the truth is that Christianity is nothing more and nothing less than SCRIPTURAL JUDAISM, and this is apparent when Christians are themselves faithful to the scriptures they say they believe.  (Please bear in mind, Steve, that there are hundreds of millions of people around the world who proclaim the name of Christ, who SAY they are Christians but who in reality are NOT; they are counterfeit or fake Christians, and you must learn to distinguish one from the other on the basis of SCRIPTURE.)

Now here’s the rub for you and all other Israelites who do not yet believe in Yeshua, Steve: you are following a version of RABBINIC Judaism (there are a few as you know) that is NOT biblical, NOT scriptural, and therefore WILL NOT lead you to The God of Israel nor to a saving relationship with Him.  So, Steve, unbelieving Israelites are in truth NOT “Jews” spiritually speaking, but counterfeit “Jews” following a counterfeit (NOT FROM YHVH) Judaism.  Get this Steve: True Judaism = True Christianity AND True Christianity = True Judaism!  That’s the real truth, Steve.  And, therefore, it is the BELIEVING (Messianic or Christian) Israelites who are the true “Jews,” Steve.  We, the true Yehudim ("Judaens" or “Jews") are those who give genuine and real praise to the real God of Israel, as opposed to a counterfeit, made-up God of Israel.  What is a “counterfeit, made-up God of Israel,” you may ask, Steve?  This: a “God of Israel” in which Yeshua is not His Son, in which Yeshua is not our Savior and Messiah, in which Yeshua is not The Word or Deber of YHVH incarnate, in which Yeshua is not YHVH Himself, Second Person of the Triune Godhead, YHVH.

So, Steve, in “converting” to scriptural Judaism and receiving Yeshua as your God, Savior, and Messiah, you would not be abandoning your “Jewishness” nor separating yourself from Israel ethnically, genetically, or spiritually.  Quite the opposite, Steve: you would be more Jewish than ever, and a “completed” Israelite who is saved, one who actually knows the God he claims to serve.  Now doesn’t that sound just wonderful to you, Steve?  It absolutely SHOULD.  Think about it.

What do you think is the real problem today that the Jews have with Yeshua (Jesus)?  He is the Jew of Jews.  I know Christianity like my ancient people of Israel failed to understand or know God and consequently misrepresented Him.
I the first century it was the opposite.  The question then was what do we do with all these Gentiles coming to the Jewish God through Yeshua (Acts 15-16).  Jewish resentment and anger today toward Yeshua (Jesus) and many of His followers called Christians has to do with misrepresentation by primarily Christians.  Most of them follow the anti-semitic belief system passed down by pagan Roman Emperor Constantine and his evil Nicene council.  However, there are true followers of Yeshua (Jesus) out there that are true talmidim (disciples or followers).  They love the Jews and Israel and follow the biblical Judaism of God.  In my opinion, all who call themselves a Jew and don’t do the Torah and believe in Yeshua (Jesus) truly don’t know what it means to be a Jew.

Why can’t the Evangelicals love Jews enough to leave them alone, free to believe what they want, free to live in an America that is not a “Christian” dictatorship, free to attempt to build an Israel that will know peace rather than permanent, and possibly extinguishing, war? Because then the Evangelicals might not have their imagined Rapture, rising to Heaven above Jewish corpses.

Why should this be?  The Hebrew scriptures testify everywhere to the fact that Yeshua is indeed our God, Messiah, and Savior (e.g., Isaiah 7:14, 9:6-8; Proverbs 30:4; Habakkuk 3; Zechariah 12; etc.); that He was pierced for our guilt, sins, and transgressions (e.g., Isaiah 52:12 to 53:14; Psalm 22); that He rose from the dead so we might have hope of eternal life (e.g., Isaiah 26:19; cf. Hosea 6); and that He will soon return (at the end of the biblical year 6000 from Adam and Eve) to judge and save the world (Zechariah 14).  These facts are unambiguously NOT isolated to the Greek scriptures of the New Testament, but are actually throughout the prophecies of the Hebrew Old Testament.

What shall we say then?  The answer is as simple as it is troubling: unbelieving Israelites ("Jews") fear the truth because it means that all the suffering of the nation and people of Isreal down through the centuries is a direct result of our nation’s rejection of The Very God of Israel, Yeshua HaMashiach (Jesus The Messiah).  Israel’s unbelieving religious leadership bears much responsibility for this.  That’s right, even the Holocaust was a result of Israel’s unbelief: read the curses in the Torah (e.g., Leviticus and Deuteronomy) that God said would befall His people Israel if they went astray and served false gods; these curses encompass EVERYTHING that occurred in the Holocaust, to include the ovens themselves!  (Horrible, yes.  True, yes.) Unbelieving Jews also fear the reality that change is just over the horizon: Yeshua will soon return to judge the world and save the survivors of the nation and people of Israel.

I am one who is born an Israelite, a descendant of Aaron himself, of the lineage of the High Priests of Israel, and I BELIEVE IN YESHUA, I KNOW HE IS OUR GOD, MESSIAH, AND SAVIOR!  I believe this because I have personally read the Old and New Testaments for myself, and the facts, reality, and truth are all quite clear.  Here is a major fact: No human being can be saved and spend eternity with The God of Israel, YHVH, who is the only true God, apart from belief in Yeshua, YHVH’s Messiah for all mankind.

Those who are complaining about the fact that a pastor hosts other Israelites who happen to know and believe the truth of the Hebrew scriptures as I do, such as Jews for Jesus, are fearful, hateful, and yes, intolerant due to their own ignorance, and that is sad not only for now, but for their eternal fate lest the light of The Messiah should shine in their hearts so that they too would know Him and be saved.  I do not hate, but LOVE my unbelieving Israelite brethren: I want them to be saved as I myself already am!  And, I would venture to say that were Sarah Palin asked, she would say exactly the same thing: she too wants Israel to be SAVED!

I applaud Senator McCain’s choice of Sarah Palin!  I had been considering voting for an independent because it seemed that there were no honest politicians among the major parties from whom to choose.  But, McCain’s choice of Palin shows me otherwise.  McCain and Palin will have my vote!

Harris has quoted selectively from Brickner’s message. You need to hear those quotes in the context of the entire message. Harris seems to have missed Brickner’s main point: Without forgiveness of sins, which he (and I) believe only comes through Jesus’ sacrificial death for us, there will be judgment – not just for Jews, but for all mankind.

By quoting selectively, Harris gives the false impression that Brickner is saying that a bulldozer attack by a deranged Palestinian is God’s judgment on the Jewish people.

How is this not just as bad as Rev. Wright’s “chickens coming home to roost” line? And Rev. Wright was linking it to specific actions, not blaming it on a lack of conversion.

Palin belongs to a Christian religious institution. It therefore follows that they would have speakers who are Christians (like the J 4 Js). While I do not agree with the J 4 Js’ theology, I know that (unlike Obama’s pastors) they do not preach hatred or thank God for racist hate speech, as Obama’s new pastor Otis Moss did when Michael Pfleger spoke at the church.

Remember that the Evangelicals think Jesus is the greatest thing in the world, and hence they want to share him with everybody else. Their intentions are benevolent, and should be treated as such even when we refuse what they offer. Their intention is not to harm or offend others, so their theology should be rejected as gently and respectfully as possible.

Furthermore, if everyone in the world followed Jesus’ (or Rabbi Hillel’s) secular teachings, we would not need guns, armies, police, or locks on our doors. Here we can find common ground with them.

It could be the Yarmulka, or maybe the Glock 17 9mm on my right hip and the 2 extra 33 round magazines on my left hip. 

Or maybe it’s just my happy demeanor.
