Sestak slammed, Sestak slams Hamas

The director of American Jews for Sarah Palin argues that Democratic Senate hopeful U.S. Rep. Joe Sestak is soft on Hamas because he spoke at a dinner organized by the Council on American-Islamic Relations. Meanwhile, Sestak issues a policy statement condemning the terrorist group, describing it as a dangerous proxy of Iran and backing U.S. and Israeli efforts to defang the terrorist organization

I do not know where Vlad Observer is from; since he is so up to-date regarding Joe Sestak, perhaps he is not from my country, Israel.

I, together with Joe, condemn my government’s blockade of Gaza. Since my kibbutz is 1.7 miles from the Gaza Border, it is entirely possible that I am just that bit more informed than is he regarding the cost in lives and the danger to the possibility of peace between Israel and Palestine because of the blockade. . I beg of right-wing Vlad not to confuse the strife between Democrats and Republicans with that between Israelis and Palestinians which already create enough problems for one another without his help.

Besides CAIR, Joe Sestak has repeatedly chosen to align himself with the most anti-Israel faction in Congress signing a letter condemning Israel’s blockade of Gaza and refusing to sign a letter drafted by the American Israel Public Affairs Committee asserting U.S. support for Israel.

If you look at the text of Sestak’s address to CAIR, you will see that he in fact did denounce Israel-haters and slammed them for refusing to condemn terrorism / disassociate themselves from Hamas and Hezbollah. (Gov. Ed Rendell also spoke at this CAIR banquet. Did anyone question his pro-Israel bona fides?)

These attempts to drive a wedge in the Jewish community are counter-productive.
