Chanukah II: Obama’s Revenge

After being assailed for just about every imaginable trivial deviation from Bush-era Chanukah celebrations, the Obama White House not only headed off the critics, the organizers managed to go their predecessors a couple better.

As a Jew I am truly ashamed of all of these reactionary comments. To call Obama anti-Israel just because he wants to explore an end to the conflict is no different then calling Tsipi Livni anti-Israel. The hysterical comments here are exactly that - hysterical. Since when is an opposing opinion anti Jewish? I’ve always taken pride in the fact that we are a rebellious opinionated people. Aren’t we the people who venerate individuals from other nations that have the courage to buck the status quo while the sheep among them toe the line? Would you rather that we all speak with one voice - like so many of our enemies do? Shame on all of you for wanting us to become exactly what we hate in others.

The president usurper, the fraud and foreigner, is a liar and hypocrite who calls for the ethnic cleansing of Jews - in a vain attempt to allegedly appease the Nazi Muslim beast - and has the chutzpah to even pretend to celebrate Hanukkah? The Maccabees would tell him to go to hell, as any self-respecting Jew would refuse to attend any of his Hanukkah charades.

Carl, the Israelis disagree with you about which President was anti-Israel. Bush’s poll numbers in Israel were high when he was President, and Obama’s are low. Bush never pressured Israel to make unilateral concessions like Obama has. The Israelis noticed that, even if some reflexively liberal American Jews didn’t.

Stevie--the first president to say “the world needs a Palestinian state”? The first president to demand the founding of a “contiguous” Palestinian state? The president who demanded Israel “stop the daily humiliations of the Palestinian people”? The first president to send money directly to the PLO? The one who said “I wouldn’t categorize Yassir Arafat a terrorist”? So you’re talking about George Dubya Bush, right, because he’s without a doubt the most anti-Israel president in history.
