In a new essay, Robert Malley and Hussein Agha evaluate the prospects of Israeli-Palestinian peace—and call for more input from Palestinian refugees and Jewish settlers.

I am surprise that Kampeas would not see what Malley’s and Agha’s real objectives are. But their campaign is not an isolated one. It is part of an orchestrated new trend in finding novel ways to eradicate Israel.

A conference on this very topic is planned on June 22-24 at York University in Toronto. If you have the patience to read what this conference is all about, please look at my comments posted here: http://www.israpundit.com/2008/?p=13708

Ron Kampeas,

Palestinians, other Arabs and Muslims understand the difference between Islam and their western-created nation states. They, like Zionist Jews, recognize that the “State of Israel” and a “Jewish” state are not the same.

When Islamist nation states couldn’t dislodge the Zionist state in 1948, 1954, 1967, 1973, the method, but not the goal, changed.

Whether one speaks of a two or one-state solution, as long as it is understood from a western perspective, signals the end of a Jewish state. Jihadists are hoping the West and western intellectuals won’t understand. And so far that appears to be correct.

I am waiting to see if the US State Department acknowledges this key point which PM Netanyahu underscored during his recent meeting with President Obama, that Israel is a “Jewish state”.

Enough of this nonsense, “one-state” threat already. No Israeli government will willingly accept it EVER. The only way it will happen is if Israel is beaten militarily (unlikely unlss the U.S. assists Israel’s enemies) or Israel is beaten down with sanctions, which the U.S. can also prevent. So the only way this scenario would become reality is with the help of President Obama, who, according to liberal Jews, believes pationately in Israel and the Jewish State. So if we trust you guys, I guess the one-state scenario won’t happen.

And I guess you decided Malley is pro-Israel because he wants to speak nicely to the settlers and see if there is anything he can do for them before forcibly removing them from their houses. Does that mean someone is pro-Palestinian if he wants to talk nicely to the Palestinians and see if there is anything he can do for them before exiling them from the West Bank? Didn’t think so, but liberals rarely treat groups equally.
