<description>To put the Stanley Cup playoffs in the most parochial Jewish terms, there were four Jewish players when they started, now there is one.

Gone is Mathieu Schneider of Montreal Canadiens, the greatest Jewish player ever, Cup winner, and 19&#45;year veteran.

Gone is Michael Cammalleri of Calgary Flames, who finished 13th overall in the scoring race this year, with 39 goals.

Gone is Eric Nystrom of Calgary Flames, who scored a game winner. His father is Bob Nystrom, who scored seven game winners for the dynasty New York Islanders when they won four Cups. His mother is Jewish and although his father never converted, he is in the Jewish Sports Hall of Fame.

That leaves Mike Brown of Anaheim Ducks, a fourth line tough guy who was sixth in the league with 24 fights. (The entire Detroit team, their opponent, had 20 fights this year.)
