“The Jewish Yoke” “The Zionist-Controlled Congress” “Conspirators with divided loyalties.” The words of Henry Ford? Charles Lindbergh? Father Coughlin? Amy Semple McPherson? No. These are sentiments from Americans posting about Freeman on March 12, 2009 in the NYT. A quick review of the posts confirms that the overwhelming majority of writers share these views. Perhaps the it’s time to re-think public and voracious campaigns against Israel critics. The dangerous perception that Jews have a stranglehold is not only growing—it’s getting more acceptable in polite society.
