Okay, I’m shallow
After the third or fourth nose-piercing, my eyes started seeking them out, in a Christopher-Walken-driving-at-night kind of way.
This is Jewish Voice for Peace's "Young Jewish Declaration," timed for Rosh Hashanah.
I did catch something about honoring a legacy of "radical intellectuals and refugees."
I have plenty of refugee ancestors. There's plenty about them that I honor -- but their refugee status is something I regret and mourn.

Do any of these excessively prideful, self-proclaimed “young Jews” actually have any personal stake by which to measure what they are so magnanimously telling others to give away? I suspect few, if any of them, have earned a right to vote in Israel by virtue of being a citizen there, and they would certainly not have that right in any kind of Palestine, despite what they might conjure in their minds.
This video portrays a romanticism of Jewish/Israel hatred very similar to—but at much less personal expense to these busy “young Jews”—the motivation of the Palestinian homicide bombers. That is, those few who haven’t been coerced.
