On second thought… Obama to meet Abbas

Earlier we reported that the White House said President Obama had no plans to meet with Palestinian Authority leader Mahmoud Abbas. Well, now he does. The two are reportedly set to meet Wednesday at 6 pm ET (Obama's powwow with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is set for earlier in the day):

"With both the Israelis and the Palestinians the president will be able to say very directly why we believe action at the United Nations is not the way ... to achieve a (Palestinian) state," Deputy National Security Adviser Ben Rhodes told reporters.
