Reuters call Connecticut for Blumenthal

Richard Blumenthal, the Jewish attorney-general in Connecticut, beats Linda McMahon, the wrestling magnate, in the race for  Connecticut's open U.S. Senate seat, keeping the seat Dem, Reuters reports.

AOL's Politics Daily calls it for Kelly Ayotte, the GOP candidate in New Hampshire. Ayotte, like Blumenthal, a longtime A-G, beats Rep. Paul Hodes (D-N.H.), the Jewish rep. who gave up his House seat to vie for the Senate. That keeps N.H. GOP Red  purple -- Ayotte, who was backed by NORPAC, one of the biggest pro-Israel PACs, replaces Sen. Judd Gregg (R-N.H.), who is retiring. Sen. Jeanne Shaheen is a Dem elected in the Obama-led 2008 sweep.
