Why should Ha’aretz bother with context on Taitz?
Ha'aretz prominently features a story Monday about Orly Taitz, the woman behind the conspiracy alleging that President Obama wasn't born in the United States and therefore is ineligible to be president.
There's at least one essential element missing from the story: A rebuttal of the conspiracy theory, which, as anyone who has taken the trouble to review the documentation knows, is baseless.
The story's author, Benjamin Hartman, describes the allegation as a "campaign," a "movement" and a "phenomenon," but he fails to note that the allegation is false or even mention that the vast majority of Obama opponents dismiss the allegations as nonsense. Instead, Hartman writes that the controversy surrounding the so-called birther movement has been supplanted in the Unites States by the health care debate, as if the Obama birthplace conspiracy theories are being considered with the same seriousness or airtime as the health care debate.
Why is Ha'aretz running a story that lets Taitz have her say -- including her charge that an Obama executive order last winter was "a form of political subterfuge meant to prop up the enemies of the United States and Israel" -- without any context?

Last April 2008 in Maryland before the American Bishops, The Pope made it quite clear on the 200th year anniversary of the conquering of the USA that Rome has conquered the USA and is now carrying out the “Great Chastisement” against us and Israel as well for the occupancy of Jerusalem.
Ask Soetoro why he refused to allow the demolition of the Shrine of the Grand Mufti to go forward? Soetoro / BHO is a practicing Muslim in the tradition of the Nazi-Communists that preceded him is service of Rome then and now!
Any one who supports the Usurper is a traitor and is on both lists.

Hmmm...not sure what the point of this piece is...it sounds like a disingenuous piece of sniping between News outlets...or ratehr from JTA at Haaretz.
Obviously Haaretz has mocked the Birther movement the way everybody else has, and presumably in this article spoke of the birthers as conspiracy theorists...in other words, there was no implication that the allegations were anything other than ridiculous.
I know it’s slow news season, but seriously, this article implying Haaretz. is ambivalent about the Birther movement is a bit of an insult to the readers’ intelligence.
