Americans for Peace Now - we weren’t consulted on PresCon statement

I'm asking around about whether constituent groups approved the statement from the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations saying it was "disturbed" by the Obama administration's opposition to the new settlement project in eastern Jerusalem.

Here's Ori Nir, the Americans for Peace Now spokesman:

The statement that Malcolm Hoenlein and Alan Solow published earlier regarding construction in East Jerusalem does not reflect APN's position. APN strongly opposes actions that change the status quo in Jerusalem and threaten to prejudge or create obstacles to a negotiated solution in the city. As members of the Conference of Presidents, we were surprised to learn that this statement was published. We were never notified about it or given an opportunity to comment on it before its publication.

Why does Ori insist on identifying the Presidents’ Conference statement as an Hoenlein-Solow statement?  Sounds like how antisemites refer to Jews.  Not nice, Ori.
