Breaking the 70 percent barrier
First a poll of Floridians and now a national poll shows Barack Obama is making significant gains among Jews.
A Gallup October tracking poll found Obama leading John McCain among registered Jewish voters by a margin of 74-22 percent. Obama's share of the vote in the monthly Gallup survey has risen five points since September and 13 points since July. The October poll was based on 564 interviews conducted Oct. 1-21 and has a margin of error of plus or minus 5 percent.
In addition, a Qunnipiac University poll of Florida voters found Obama winning 77 percent of the Jewish vote, compared to just 20 percent for McCain. That poll, taken Oct. 16-21, surveyed 87 Jewish voters and had a margin of error of plus or minus 10.5 points.
The polls suggest that after months of hovering around 60 percent, Obama appears to be in striking distance of the 75-80 percent of the Jewish vote won by the three previous Democratic nominees.

Hey yonason,
I just can’t let your insulting and condescending statement about American Jewry stand. American Jews are some of the most educated and political aware people in this country, and you know it. The vast majority of Jews supporting Obama in this election know all the things about him that you know. They’ve weighed the evidence over the last two years, and are making a deliberate choice to vote for the Democratic ticket in this election.
It is the height of arrogance and condescension for you to insist that any decision by Jews that differs from your own was reached out of ignorance of “who Obama is, and what he represents.” Believe me, they all know.
Maybe you need to stop for a moment and consider that maybe you’re the one out of step here. That is, if self-examination and introspection are within your capacity. I doubt it.

They apparently don’t know that Obama surrounds himself with self-admitted domestic terrorists (Ayers), racists (Al Sharpton, Jeremiah Wright) and anti-Semites (Sharpton again, look up Freddy’s Fashion Mart) as well as other lowlifes.
Even his running mate realizes how unqualified he is, because he says there will be an international crisis to “test” Obama within six months of his nomination. If I were Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Kim Jong Il, Vladimir Putin, or Osama bin Laden, I would much prefer the unqualified empty suit and “community organizer” to the Navy captain who was actually in a jet aircraft on a carrier’s flight deck during the Cuban Missile Crisis.
Real Jews will vote for Mcain. Most of those so-called Jews who are polled have one Jewish parent, or are married to non-Jews and have Gentile children. They are al radical ultra-liberal Jews who don’t care about Israel.
Real Jews will vote for McCain because they love Israel and America. Obama is an enemy of both!

This is a sad commentary on the state of Jewish
awareness(i.e., ignorance) of who Obama is, and what he represents.
