DCCC chairman: RJC “shameful”
The chairman of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee called the Republican Jewish Coalition "shameful" for the way the group has tried to use Israel "as a wedge issue."
Rep. Chris Van Hollen (D-Md.) said the organziation was breaking with a tradition "that has united Democrats and Republicans since Harry Truman." He spoke at a reception for members of Congress at the National Jewish Democratic Council's Washington Conference.
Van Hollen did come under criticism from pro-Israel constituents in his suburban Washington, D.C. district two years ago after he wrote a letter to Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice telling her she should have told Israel to limit its attacks during the Lebanon War – although he also said that Israel was "justified" in defending itself against Hezbollah.

I’m sorry to go back to this, but I have a question, and nobody else seems to be raising it. You probably know all about that fiasco at the Iran rally in NYC. Hillary Clinton was to speak, but after Sarah Palin was invited as well, Clinton backed out, and Palin was then herself subsequently dis-invited. Now a lot of people seem to be talking about the speech that Palin was supposed to deliver at the rally, and some are even praising her for its content.
But I’m really confused. Specifically, why does everyone keep referring to the speech as “Sarah Palin’s speech”? Did she write it? (No. It was written by her handlers.) Did she deliver it? (No. She was dis-invited and thus never spoke it.)
So in what sense is it Sarah Palin’s speech at all? Can anyone produce a shred of evidence that more than half the terms and nomenclature in that speech were even in her vocabulary before a month ago?
So why is anybody patting Palin on the back for the speech? What has she actually done to deserve any of the credit?
Matt, your question reeks of insincerity, and besides that is irrelevant.
Kvetching over such silliness is only a distraction from the issues, but I think you know that, don’t you!
There is one thing I might agree with you on. You are really confused (that, or, more likely, you are trying to confuse people here.)
Now, please deal with an issue, and stop trying to create a smokescreen.
Now that the conventions are over these anarchists just don’t know what to do with themselves.
Matt,
After spending 20 years with an Israel-hating pastor, hanging out with Palestinian activists, stating that “Nobody is suffering more than the Palestinians” and criticizing Israel’s security barrier and the Likud Party, can anyone “produce a shred of evidence” that Obama’s words of support for Israel are actually his?
Please send this to your friends and family!
RFK, Jr.: “Let me tell you about one other of these scams people should know about. If you’re a newly registered voter - and of course the Democrats have done these gigantic registration drives - 12 million people on registration - if you’re a new voter you MUST include your license or some other state I.D. when you come to vote. What that means is that if you’re a college kid (and college kids now - they’re sending in absentee ballots - they’re not going to the voting place, they do everything online or they do everything remotely - they don’t dream of going to the precinct house voting on election day and waiting in a long line) so if they send in the absentee ballot and they don’t include a color copy of their license their vote is going to be thrown into a trash can. And none of these people know this because you have had to read the law in order to know it. So there is no notification for when you fill out your registration form, so all of those 12 million people that the Democrats have registered: those ballots are going to be just thrown out.

Angellight’s quote is from a far Left fantasy based propaganda rag. It is completely false. But, there are people who do want to, and in a few isolated cases are trying to do this. But it is the Democrats, not the Republicans, who are making that push. Here is one example…
“Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner has a reputation as the most partisan state official in Ohio. And she works hard to earn it. The Democrat’s latest stunt rejected absentee ballots for thousands of Republicans.
. . . .
Two Hamilton County voters have sued, accusing her of “the disenfranchisement of thousands of voters.”
The John McCain campaign sent out more than 1 million applications for absentee ballots to Republicans. Each had a line at the top next to a box: “I am a qualified elector.”
Brunner sent a memo telling county election officials to reject those applications for absentee ballots if the box was not checked. “Failure to check the box leaves both the applicant and the board of elections without verification that the applicant is a ‘qualified elector’,” she wrote.
But that’s contrary to state law and Brunner doesn’t have the authority, according to the lawsuit and an opinion from Hamilton County’s Republican Prosecutor Joe Deters.
Ohio law allows voters to request an absentee ballot on the back of a grocery sack if they want to, as long as they include their name, address, date of birth, signature and either a driver’s license number, last four Social Security numbers or a valid picture I.D.”

NOTE - Obama has many surrogates out there spreading propaganda. You must check it yourself, because they will either never bring proof, or what they do bring is not true.
Keep the Republican Talking points ( Lies ) coming. No one has threaten to take away the RJC tax exampt. Nothing worst than Jewish racism.
Sorry, Larry Levy, but saying it ain’t so doesn’t mean it ain’t.

“Hillary Clinton, who cancelled her scheduled appearance at the event after learning of Palin’s plans to attend, had been confirmed months earlier. But Palin’s participation made the non-profit groups planning the event concerned they would lose their tax-exempt status, if only one party’s presidential or vice presidential candiate was invited to speak.
“The IRS is very clear, Hillary Clinton does not equal Sarah Palin,” the official said, speaking on condition of anonymity. “You have to have equal representation of candidates.” [they said]
The organizers reached out to the Obama campaign for the first time Wednesday morning, asking Joe Biden to speak to balance Palin, but in the end the decision was made to not allow political candidates at the event at all [Biden refused to go], the organizer said.”

Never mind that this was not a campaign event, which means it doesn’t fall under the IRS restrictions AT ALL! But if a law suit was filed, it would have been costly, and if a Leftist judge got the case, the verdict wouldn’t necessarily conform to the law.
And that brings up another question, why Obama’s church was allowed to actually campaign for him, and not lose their tax exeption.

EXCUSE ME, BUT…
Israel, the ONLY real ally of America in the Middle East, is a very real, not a “wedge,” issue! The only reason Obama doesn’t want the “issue” of Israel to be considered, is because he and all his advisers are so anti-Israel.

Obama’s brown-shirts threatened the RJC with removal of their tax exempt status if they invited Palin.

Come to think of it, I don’t know why Obama’s church hasn’t had theirs taken away, with all the camaigning that’s done there.
