Jewish push polling?
Some Jewish voters claim they have been the target of anti-Obama push polling aimed at Members of the Tribe, according to the folks operating the new pro-Obama Web site: JewsVote.org. The Associated Press reported incidents in Florida and Pittsburgh:
Jewish voters in Florida and at least one other state are being targeted by a telephone survey tying Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama to Palestinian causes, an advocacy group alleged Monday. The Jewish Council for Education in Research says at least two women in separate states were push polled, or asked questions intended to influence voters while pretending to take a poll, on Sunday afternoon from a caller who said he was from Research Strategies.
Joelna Marcus says she became uncomfortable when the caller asked if she was Jewish, whether she was Orthodox and how often she attends synagogue.
The caller then asked if Marcus would be influenced if she learned that Obama had donated money to the Palestine Liberation Organization. The caller also asked how she would vote if she learned that someone on the Illinois senator's staff had close ties to Palestine. ...
Deborah Minden, who lives in a predominantly Jewish neighborhood in Pittsburgh received a similar call Sunday afternoon. After asking basic demographic information, Minden, 56, said the caller said, "I'm going to ask you some things about Sen. Obama and you tell me if it would make you more or less likely to vote for him."
The poller then ticked off a list of accusations including that Obama's church had made anti-Semitic statements and that Obama had met with Hamas leaders.
Jonathan Cohn, of the New Republic, says he received a similar call. And Politico's Ben Smith says Jewish readers in Philadelphia and New Jersey say they have also been called.
According to Smith, at least one firm is denying that its the operation behind the calls.

You can ask Joe Lieberman what kind of people are associated with Barack Obams. And I guarantee he will tell. Remember the letist Democrats are mean spirited people who will do anything to get Barack Obama elected. They want a Socialist state and have vindictive agenda for America. Don’t think for a minute that they would do someething like this in order to make the Jewish people think it was done towards him!! The people who are on his side hate America and everything it stands for. They force “class” war fare on a country which in not acceptable. Please be informed. The Jerusalem Post or go to one of the Jewish websites...be informed ..please!! Do not even think of voting for a man who has associated himself with those who want America to FALL!
Barack Obama does have Hamas connections thru his associations. I have friends in Israel who have sources that identify him as a s friend to Israel’s enemies. They are cunning, clever and ready to bring America down, with the help of Iran. Yes, Iran who is on the verge of producing a nuclear bomb. Ask Mr. Barack obama what he would do if Israel were attacked today!!
If he tries to be evasive and not answer the question direct..take him to tasks!! We know where Sen John McCain stands. We know he has a record to stand upon and is a true friend of lIsrael. Obams is more interested alcolades from Europe than setting a policy against terrorist states and those who want to destroy Israel and America. Blessings go with you.
We Americans who support Israel, do so because we believe in the people and descendents of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. We believe in the covenant God made with the Hebrews of the land of milk and honey, which is beloved Israel. We don’t support Israel for “POLITICAL EXPEDIENCY’ but because we love the land of the most revered people of the Lord God on the face of the earth. Our record testifies to this. We try to elect those who would truly support Israel no matter what!! So remember we have stood along side of Israel and will do so as long as the Lord God will allow us to! His promises we stand upon for He is Able!!
Wow. Some of your guys’ comments here are delusional. If I judged each of you by who you “associate” with, boy, I imagine I’d find out some interesting things.
Do we want 4 more years of Bush policies or worse?
What does it say about McCain that he let the religious right veto his first choices for vice president and then picked someone so unqualified and who seems willing to stretch the truth and has doubts about human contributions to global warming?
I realize it’s silly to respond to someone who writes: “I have friends in Israel who have sources that identify him (Obama) as a s friend to Israel’s enemies.” Or even worse “we love the land of the most revered people of the Lord God on the face of the earth.” But posts like Margaret Hood’s discredits this forum and discourage intelligent discourse. Ludicrous, unsubstantiated claims and foolishness about Jewish superiority are not helpful. Obama is unquestionably a friend of Israel. I’m thrilled that the over-whelming amount of Jews will back him in November.
The gross and willful ignorance Margaret Hood has displayed on this board provides one of the arguments against Democracy — the vote of the ignoramus. Everything she has said here against Obama and to which she clings is a steaming pile.
PLO:
Obama is a friend and former university colleague of Rashid Khalidi who worked in PLO’s Beirut public relations office in the 1980’s. Khalidi himself, wrote of his activities with the PLO and Arafat. Khalidi hosted a fundraiser for Obama’s Illinois Senate run. After 9/11, Obama who was on the board of the Woods Fund, okayed grants to Khalidi’s Arab American Action Network - $40,000 in 2001 and $35,000 in 2002.
Obama praised Khalidi at his 2003 farewell party after he accepted a position as director of the Middle East program at Columbia University. In 2007, Khalidi’s department invited Ahmadinejad to Columbia. Obama defended Columbia’s “academic freedom” and said “we don’t need to be fearful of the rantings of somebody like Ahmadinejad.”
HAMAS:
Robert Malley, principal Middle East adviser to Barack Obama resigned on May 10, 2008 after reports he had been in repeated contact with members of Hamas. Malley interviewed Hamas officials for the George Soros-funded think tank, International Crisis Group.
Malley wrote controversial articles in 2001 blaming Israel and exonerating Arafat for the failure of the Clinton peace talks. Malley’s parents were rabidly anti-Israel and were personal friends of Arafat. Arafat once got the French government to readmit the Malley family to France after they had been expelled for their radical activities.

I will not even think of voting for Barack Obama. His “former” pastor is an anti-sematic racist who enforces racism on his parrish. I think Baraack has too many associations with thte wrong people, some of which hate America and can’t let go of the past! He does support the Palestinian cause, but of course he says things to please what ever crowd he is in. He not is inexperience, has no significant record as a Jr. Senator to bragg about, but his significance is he was “present” during votes for important legislation. He is only a crowd pleaser who loves Europe and would never, never defent America, but subdue her in to a subservent nation and disrupt the Freedom and democracy earned by so many Americans who have gone before us. No No NO. Mr. Obama!
