Team Obama gives briefing in advance of Israel trip
In a conference call, Obama's campaign just announced that the Democratic nominee will be in Israel on Wednesday, where he will meet with Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni, Defense Minister Ehud Barak and opposition leader Benjamin Netanyahu. He'll also be meeting with Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas and Prime Minister Salam Fayyad. (Click here for the news brief).

It is amazing how a person cannot see what is in front of their face, or to make the connection between they fears and reality.
Many of the concerns you site, I too have had these 8 years, as the American Fascist Republican Party divided us one group against another Precisely at the moment when we needed to be strong and united:
Veteran against Veteran, Catholic against Catholic, State against State, the younger against the older with Social Security (smelling the Hitler Youth). The greedy among the rich against the American Middle Class, Christians and blacks against gays, Gen-ex against Baby Boomers, the physically fit against the overwieght (trying to get them to pay more on planes)
It has been scary to watch the executive branch moon the legislative, and turn the Justice Department against the opposition (even jailing a governor)
It has been scary to watch one constitutional crisis unfold after another while the Republican controlled Main st. Media gave the Swiftboat Liars tens of billions in free advertising, and met with the White House about what to say, As they repeated the lies just like Goebbles.
It has been scary to see the Republicans treat the Democrats as if they are Al qAeda.
It has been scary to see the College Republicans express pride that they have 900 Media Trainees embedded in main st and publicly funded media.
It has been scary to know that scientific documents were deleated and that Blackwater (a big Republican supporter) will be sent to our streets because our First Responders were sent to do urban battle in the streets of Iraq were friend is unknown to them from foe.
It was scary to see dozens of Arab translators get fired just because they were gay, and that thousands of non Partisan civil servents LIKE CONTRACT Negotiators in favor of no bid contracts for the largest Republican contributors.
Lieberman did oversight over FEMA while it was being chopped to bits. McCain cares more about his party than his country and is an embarassement to anyone who is well informed about world events....As he perpetuates the Republican way of “mooning” the bad guys.
