Hillary: Obama is a friend
By Ami Eden on Jun 4, 2008 in AIPAC policy conference, Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, Presidential Race |
It does seem like the news in Hillary Clinton’s AIPAC speech was this line: “Let me be very clear: I know Senator Obama will be a good friend to Israel.”
Clinton may not have dropped out of the race, but she spoke as if Obama would be the Democratic nominee and aimed her criticisms at GOP policies.
UPDATE: The perils of live blogging … Wonkette picks on us (me) for an earlier typo in the headline of this post.

Good for you Senator Clinton. You’ve done a great service for our nation’s children by running this campaign, and you will do a great service again when you help get the first minority President elected in history. Hopefully you’ll be on the ticket as well!

Why won’t she go away? She did not win.

Aaron, she’s actually done quite a disservice to the Democratic Party. The Republicans have already begun circulating reels of footage filled with two years worth Hillary’s biting criticisms of Obama.
Hillary acknowledges that national security is going to be “front and center” this election and frequently notes Obama’s lack of foreign policy experience. The Republicans love to talk about thisfact, too, and now they have found a most unlikely friend in Hillary Clinton.
Good grief.
An Obama-Clinton ticket may seem like a dream, but let’s hope it stays just that, “a dream.” With all of Hillary’s criticisms of Obama and all of Obama’s talk about how the politics of the past have failed us, ultimately an indictment of both Bush and Clinton, a joint ticket is out of the question.

THIS COUNTRY NEEDS SOME ONE WHO WILL DO FOR US POOR PEOPLE, NOT FOR THE RICH.I HOPE OBAMA MAKES IT TO THE WHITE HOUSE AND HILLARY AS HIS VICE PRESIDENT, THAT WILL BE A GREAT COMBINATION. I’M AM VERY UPSET THAT I HAVE TO WORK TOW JOBS JUST TO MAKE ENDS MEET.WHEN CLINTON WAS IN OFFICE, THINGS WERE MUCH BETTER.
LETS KEEP HOPING FOR A BETTER AMERICA.

She is not insane. How many of you could stay in a campaign that long? How many of you have been in a campaign? No, I for one am proud she is an American pulic servant. She knows what’s at stake, and she has plenty to bring to the table for the Obama ticket to win. Now, it’s a fight to bring America back from the brink and make it great. Obama can do that….but it’d be better if she was double teaming with him against McCain.

Stop relying on other people to save you from yourself. Caps-lock is cruise control for cool, by the way.

Obama needs Hillary if he chooses any other course he’ll lose. It’s is turn to show the humility that he claims to have and invite her strength onto the ticket. She has the humility I do believe to accept. He he doesn’t offer it she should kick ass and run Independent She would win with just the 18, million who realzestill that we need her leadership now. The urgency of now to quote a quote of OBAMA he took from King.
