Nader: Obama is too pro-Israel
By Ami Eden on Feb 25, 2008 in Barack Obama, Ralph Nader |
During an interview about why he’s running for president, Ralph Nader told NBC’s Tim Russert on Sunday that Obama is too pro-Israel and doesn’t do enough to support the Israeli peace camp (jump ahead to 1:15) .
At about the same time that the interview was being aired, Obama was meeting in Cleveland with Jewish leaders. To be sure, the senator hit all of the main points favored by the pro-Israel lobby — but he also criticized those who act as if the only way to be pro-Israel is to be pro-Likud, and also suggested that Americans should follow the lead of Israelis in conducting a more robust debate on peace and security issues (read the transcript).
Ralph Nader is a viciously anti-Israel. He blames the Middle-East conflict on the existance of Israel. Nader wants Israel to make concessions until until it’s destroyed. Only in Ralph Nader’s radical warped mind would Obama be considered “too pro-Israel.”

Wake up. The transcript of his interview reveals that Nader does not believe that Obama is sincerely pro-Israel; that it is merely a campaign tactic which he has employed since he decided to run for higher office. Nader said, “(Obama) has run a brilliant tactical campaign. But his better instincts and his knowledge have been censored by himself….He was pro-Palestinian when he was in Illinois before he ran for the state Senate, during he ran–during the state Senate.”

Who is the real Obama. Obama attends a church where his minister, The Rev.J. Wright Jr. has supported anti-Semites like Louis Farrakhan of the Nation of Islam. Beyond that Obama has made himself the candiate of the Anti-Semitic Radical Far Left wing of the Democratic Party. All one has to do is to go on the internet and read the Anti-Semitic Daley Kos or Moveon.org. These are the people who are behind and controle Obama. Peace Now is too moderate for these people only the destruction of the State of Israel and the conclusion of Hitler’s final solution will make them happy.
So, every Jew has the right to say we don’t believe a word Obama says or trust him. The question has to be asked if you don’t agree with Rev. Wrights views on Race and Jews and you don’t agree with the far Radical Left Wings position on Israel and Jews why does Obama continue to attend Rev. Wright’s Church and why does Obama continue to seek the support and money from the Anti-Semitic Radical Far left wing of the Democratic Party? My Bubby taught me if you lie down with filth you will reak from fealth. Obama’ reaks form his associates and political and financial supporters.

Ralph Nader is decended from Lebanese Arabs and he is totally biased against Israel. He makes an idiotic remark about “100 to 1 kill ratios” in the Gaza Strip, but he never mentions 1. The Israeli withdrawl (voluntarily) from Gaza in 2005, or 2. The fact that Hamas will never negotiate in good faith with Israel. Hamas simply wants to destroy Israel and all Jews, it does not want to live in peace with any non-Muslims in the middle east. You cannot negotiate with people like that, period.

Amazing,
for you people, anyone who criticises Israel is ‘biased’,'anti-semitic’ or ‘radical’.
Name one other industrialised country in the world that receives 3 billion dollars plus of aid from any other country.
Why is Israel, of all countries, deserving of such sweeping, uncritical support? (where is the sweeping aid and support to Australia?)
Israel is the country whose prime minister (Shamir) said of the Arabs, they are “like grasshoppers compared to us,” whose heads should be “smashed against the
boulders and walls”.
Shame on you people.
You flood the debate with misinformation, so that the unsuspecting are kept in the dark about what is really happening in the Middle East.

You are 100% correct, I thought I was the only one who was awake and living in reality in this country!
M4Edwards | Mar 22, 2008 | Reply
R Williams, you are a moron. Why don’t you check and find out that Israel receives no economic aid (financial support) from the US. Jordan receives budgeted; $200.0 Million, Bahrain receives $4.3 million, $10 million to Egypt. The surrounding Arab countries all receive monetary aid, which as far as I am concerned is ludicrous. Oh and of course, let us not forget the mess in Iraq that we are paying for and they have oil that can be processed and utilized to pick up the tab, oh, wait a minute, that one sounds familiar.
They are not practicing democracy’s, they have enough oil income to support themselves and the rest of the world, they have the support of the UN. Now the US does sell arms to Israel in the form of an arms aid package of 2.4 billion dollars, and Egypt has the same package, 1.3 billion dollars. Now if you consider, Egypt is not under constant attack from terrorists, plus they have UN peace keeping forces in their country, their army is not constantly in a state of alert and doing battle. They are also not a democracy. Add everything up and rethink your rant. So before you go spewing misinformation, SHAME ON YOU, for perpetuating the same anti-Semitic rants that have plagued Jews and Israel for centuries.

Cherly,
Why do you lie?
We do not need liars to defend Israel but it does help.
We both know what we want from the Gentiles.
lol..

What does it take to get a candidate that will look after American interests?
Why are these candidates trying to one-up each other on who can support the racist Zionist Israeli regime the most?
I want the president to make America priority 1, 2 and 3.

Re funding from US - see the film “Occupation 101″ - you will learn much about the conflict, and it details the incredible financial support of Israel by the US.
whoever “cheryl” is, this person is either intentionally providing misinformation or is so uneducated that it’s surprising they are able to use a computer.

Nader makes a good point. If you are pro peace, like most Israelis and Palestinians, you cannot trust him. He goes from one viscous anti-Jew fringe to another anti-Palestinian one.
Nader does not blame Israel, he blames lobbyists in general who use money and influence to control our politics, and the politicians who worship the dollar rather than give straight talk. If we put our foot down equally with both sides, or at least did what little we could to make them negotiate on equal ground, I think both sides would love peace. Sometimes the simple hard answers are the easiest. Like, if excercise and diet makes you health, who doesn’t everyone do it. Simple but hard. I don’t think we can give invaders control of the land they invade, but if Israel has valid concerns the land they were originally given is not enough for peace and security, that needs to be handled legally and not with arms. Do the militants represent the people, or just the worse of all our sides?

Actually Cheryl, the still-expanding state of Israel receives $3.5 in aid per annum from US taxpayers (more than any African country), diplomatic cover at the UN, and weapons. The reason for this, and for Obama’s current craven sychophancy, is the strength of AIPAC in Washington. Read the book by Mearsheimer & Walt, or Carter’s ‘Palestine: Peace Not Apartheid’. But only if you have an open mind.
