Inside the Nextbook-JDub partnership

When this recession took hold, we hypothesized that nonprofit organizations would meet one of several fates: Some older, well established organizations would survive based on their history and strengths, some old and new would die, others would survive on donor affinity and sentiment, and others would figure out how to tread water without moving forward.

I love it when I hear about such partnerships and relationship formations. The Jewish world is immensely gifted at creating innovations and initiatives, but the flip side of this immense creativity is an immense fragmentation of effort, of organizations, of directions. It does sometimes take dire economic times to exercise enough pressure towards consolidation, unity, direction.

Take, for example, what is currently happening with the rebirth of CAJE (as NewCAJE.org), and this initiative’s decision to partner with Our Learning Company [disclosure: that is my company] to produce a series of learning fundraisers, named The LEHRHAUS ONLINE. The details are at http:www.OurLehrhaus.com/press/JointRelease and a 26’ interview with the NewCAJE Facilitator, Cherie Koller-Fox, is at http:www.OurLehrhaus.com/interview/CherieKollerFox .
