      <description>There are a lot of good Jewish identity programs and birthright israel is one of them. That birthright is the best or the one that should get all the funding is a lot of rubbish. Instead, let the Jewish Federations establish a fund for projects that enhance Jewish identity and open it up for applications, large and small. Maybe we will see some creative new ideas emerging instead of just saying &#8220;yes&#8221; or &#8220;no&#8221; to birthright.
