That birthright is the best or the one that should get all the funding is a lot of rubbish. Instead, let the Jewish Federations establish a fund for projects that enhance Jewish identity and open it up for applications, large and small. Maybe we will see some creative new ideas emerging instead of just saying “yes” or “no” to birthright.
