Brenner’s counter to Bachman is idiotic and just shows the Luddite mentality of the Jewish world. To use data management as an excuse not to manage relationships is, for me, inexcusable. Lists aren’t dangerous, mismanagement of lists is dangerous. Brenner’s basically saying that we should keep Birthright alums disconnected from the Jewish world. The data shows that they’re returning from Israel looking for a connection - they don’t find it - and they’re enthusiasm for Israel and Judaism wanes. We’re losing the future of Judaism - inexcusable.

someone must have accidentally deleted this comment from before. I didn’t read in the rules that only pompous yankees get to play this game. luckily, I had it saved. enjoy:

Earth to Andy: We are playing “keep away from the religious”! Get in the game! I’m sure Danny will give you any names you want, you just have to guard it from anyone not fitting into the little box of non-Torah Judaism.

How about a little honesty folks. Why does only hillel get the list!why not all Jewish groups on campus? don’t want us to work too hard? or afraid we’ll work too hard!

I work on campus and I do from time to time get lists of folks who’ve been on Birthright and I work very hard to contact them. Of course, sometime they’ve moved, not interested, etc - which means they are NORMAL! But I have numerous AMAZING students that I’ve met solely because they went on Birthright and I got their name

How about just a little honesty folks! That won’t require that y’all admit that you are “leaders” of a religion you don’t even believe in, but not giving out the lists is ridiculous and indefensible. Andy is 100% right about this, and quite frankly, makes y’all look pretty silly.

Why don’t y’all stop being the Madoff of Birthright, destroying the entire investment! Give out the lists! not everyone will become frum!
