Bloomberg news has a fairly comprehensive list of the Madoff carnage and tallies $26 billion of losses so far. Lots of Jewish names here:
- Boston philanthropist Carl Shapiro’s charitable foundation -- $145 million
- Elie Wiesel Foundation for Humanity -- Undetermined
- GMAC LLC Chairman Jacob Ezra Merkin’s Ascot Partners -- Most of its $1.8 billion of assets
- Madoff Family Foundation -- $19 million
- Steven Spielberg’s Wunderkinder Foundation -- Undetermined
- Yeshiva University -- Undetermined
- Mortimer Zuckerman -- Undetermined
